GSO Thrive Appointment Reminders · Effective September 1, 2026

What this program is

The Good Samaritan Outreach (GSO Thrive) Appointment Reminders program is a free appointment reminder text message service for adults enrolled in the GSO Thrive Program. By opting in, you consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Good Samaritan Outreach at the mobile number you provide. If you opt in, we send an SMS reminder about one hour before each appointment on your GSO weekly schedule, stating the appointment time and, where helpful, the location. These are transactional reminders only — the program does not send marketing or promotional messages.

How to opt in

Opt-in is collected in person: you sign our paper consent form, or give verbal consent that GSO staff record, during intake or a later meeting. See how the program works and the consent form. Consent is not a condition of receiving any GSO service.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on the number of appointments on your schedule — typically 0 to 10 messages per week, and no more than about 15 in a busy week. Some weeks you may receive no messages.

Cost

GSO does not charge for this program. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further messages unless you re-enroll. You can also ask any GSO staff member to turn off reminders for you.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on effective transmission by your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed.

Privacy

Your mobile number and consent record are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not share mobile opt-in information with third parties for marketing.

Changes

We may modify or discontinue this program at any time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
